WAYS TO GIVE
A cash gift is only one way to help.
You can donate by check payable to Eppes Cemetery and mailed to: Dan Kelly, Treasurer, 241 Wecama Rd., Ferriday, LA. 71334. You will need our Venmo user name, @Eppes_Cemetery, and the last four digits of the phone number associated with this account, 7946. Download Venmo on your cell phone from your favorite app store.
In addition to making a cash donation, you can choose the giving option that best suits your needs:
Name Eppes Cemetery as a beneficiary in your will.
A charitable bequest made through your Will is a deferred gift made to Eppes Cemetery that enables you to support the future of the cemetery without reducing your current assets. An estate gift will not affect your cash flow during your lifetime and can be modified if your situation changes. Contact your attorney or estate planner for more information about naming Eppes Cemetery as a beneficiary of your estate.
Designate Eppes Cemetery as a beneficiary of your life insurance.
Assigning Eppes as a beneficiary of all or a portion of a life insurance policy is another way to make a deferred gift. Contact your life insurance representative for more information about naming Eppes as one of your beneficiaries.
Arrange a matching gift through your employer.
Many employers have matching gift programs and will match your contributions to Eppes Cemetery. The impact of your contribution to Eppes may be doubled or possibly tripled. Many companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Contact your company’s Human Resources or Benefits office to find out if your company has a matching gift policy.
Honor a loved one with a memorial gift.
Honor the memory of a loved one through a memorial or honorary gift. This is an especially touching and thoughtful way to donate. “In Memory of” and “In Honor of ” gifts may be designated to support the general upkeep of Eppes or to support a specific part of cemetery maintenance (mowing, tree-trimming, fence upkeep, etc.).
